For eternity and beyond

Eternal youth,

The wise women,
The ones that stand beside me,
The ones that went before me,
The ones that carried me

The ones that remind me
Of the power
Already inside of me

Who make me laugh
In a way

Into a well of wisdom

Remind me of my light
By not diminishing my dark

Invite all of me
But never sugarcoat me
With their truth

The Women who inspire me
With hearts wide open
To face life head-on,

Inspire me
With their gentle power
To shape and celebrate life,
Not in the grand ways
Or on special occasions,
But in the everyday moments
And gestures
Of fresh lemons
Picked with presence
Poured with love
And drank with devotion

Showing me
Again and again
How beautiful life is
And always already was
In every moment

Who hold their pain
Next to their joy
Let their love
Carry the tremble of their fear

Who own all their pieces
And also remind you
You are made of the gentle breeze
That kisses your skin
And the thunderstorm
That breaks you down

You are the gentle stream
Of the river
And the crashing waves
Of the ocean
Into which the river flows
